New Home Construction
In February, we’ll break ground on a home for Bob in Eugene. Bob served in the US Navy followed by a long career in lumber and timber. A medical condition cost him partial use of his hands, and led to the loss of his job and almost everything he had worked for over the years. Bob’s dream is a home that is safe and affordable, and where friends, children and grandchildren can comfortably visit. He wants to become a homeowner because, as he says, “it is the American dream. It gives a person a sense of pride, dignity, and freedom.”
We are very grateful to the wonderful sponsors who are making Bob’s house possible: the Chambers Family Foundation, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, the Eugene Association of REALTORS and the Oregon Association of REALTORS HOME Foundation.
In December, we dedicated Misty’s home in Cottage Grove. More than 75 people packed into the small house to celebrate with Misty and her family. Misty’s was the 71st house built by Habitat for Humanity of Central Lane.
In 2019, Habitat for Humanity of Central Lane is calling on women to take on the challenge of building and raising funds for a home in Eugene for Rachel and her son. Learn more here, or contact 541-741-1707 or email@example.com for more information.
