Our Spring Newsletter is Here!

AmeriCorps is a national service program that provides thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to meet critical community needs. Through full-time service opportunities in Eugene, Habitat AmeriCorps members can serve in leadership roles on active build sites or in our local Habitat office engaging our community.  We currently have two AmeriCorps positions available.  Click here to learn more.

House 73 Breaks Ground

Rachel and Daniel broke ground on theirnew home, which will provide a safe and stable place for Daniel to grow and thrive! This house is being funded and built by our fantastic Women Builders.

Thank you to our sponsors who helped with the ground breaking: Eugene Eye Care, Lifetime Eye Care, and US Bank!

House 72 Underway

We are currently building a home for Bob in Eugene. Bob served in the US Navy followed by a long career in lumber and timber. A medical condition cost him partial use of his hands, and led to the loss of his job and almost everything he had worked for over the years. Bob’s dream is a home that is safe and affordable, and where friends, children and grandchildren can comfortably visit. He wants to become a homeowner because, as he says, “it is the American dream. It gives a person a sense of pride, dignity, and freedom.”

We are very grateful to the wonderful sponsors who are making Bob’s house possible: the Chambers Family Foundation, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, the Central Lutheran Foundation, the Eugene Association of REALTORS and the Oregon Association of REALTORS HOME Foundation.

House 71 Completed

In December, we dedicated Misty’s home in Cottage Grove. More than 75 people packed into the small house to celebrate with Misty and her family. Misty’s was the 71st house built by Habitat for Humanity of Central Lane.

A huge thank you to our generous home and land sponsors, including Wells Fargo, the Eugene Association of REALTORS, the Oregon Association of REALTORS HOME Foundation, the Ford Family Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity of Oregon.
