We have two outstanding volunteers to recognize this month: Edwin Farley and Sujin Kay, co-Presidents of the South Eugene High School Habitat Chapter! Edwin and Sujin are both seniors and as leaders of their Habitat chapter, they have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to their fellow students as well as Habitat. This year, they have led their chapter in two restaurant fundraising events to benefit Habitat. Sujin and Edwin have been enthusiastic volunteers on the construction site, and have actively recruited other student volunteers and helped with Habitat outreach events at South. Both students are impressive young ambassadors for Habitat.
Sujin’s favorite moment as a Habitat volunteer was on the recent house remodel, when she got to help lay down sod on the lawn: “I had seen the interior of the house a few months prior, and the transformation was really impressive. It was very gratifying to have been able to contribute, even for a small amount, to the process.”
Thank You and Congratulations, Sujin and Edwin, on your outstanding efforts as Habitat volunteers and chapter leaders this year!
