Read Do I Qualify? to determine your eligibility and the eligibility of your property.

To certify that applying homeowners are in our Area Median Income and qualified to apply, HFHCL will requires homeowners to include the following documents in their application.

  • Copy of the most recent federal tax statement for each adult (any form 1040 any version) including W2 forms, if applicable
  • Proof of citizenship or permanent legal residency for each adult (copy of birth certificate, valid US passport, voter’s registration, or legal permanent residence card)

4. Home Visit

Before a home is selected for the Minor Home Repair Program, the home is evaluated. A home visit must occur in order to determine the scope of work and determine the estimated cost of the project.

Please remember that Hsbitat Central Lane does not do: painting where lead paint is present, second story exterior house painting, roofs, window and door replacement or any interior issue.

5. Partnership

After application, home visit and scope of work are approved, Habitat Central Lane will meet with the homeowner to review, any potential repayment plans and sign partnership agreement

6. Completion

Upon completion the Director of Construction will calculate the actual costs of the Minor Home Repair. The homeowner will review, sign a Certificate of Completion and receive a payment plan. We ask that the homeowner participates in a short survey about how the repairs were beneficial to them. A minor repair can make a major difference!
