A community and grant-funded program offering aluminum ramp installations to support housing stability for eligible homeowners in *Lane County.

About the Program

Habitat for Humanity of Central Lane assists income-qualified homeowners—including Seniors, Veterans, and households with disabilities—by installing durable aluminum ramps for up to $7,500. While there is no expected repayment, homeowners will have the opportunity to Pay-It-Forward by donating their ramp back to Habitat.

Note: This is not an emergency program. Once approved, the typical timeframe for completion is 6-8 weeks.

Qualifications

This program is open to existing homeowners in our service area. Homes must be owner-occupied, primary residences including single-family homes, multi-family homes (duplexes/triplexes), or mobile homes.

*Location: Home must be located in Lane County, within our service area, which runs from Blue River to Noti (east to west) and Coburg to Cottage Grove (north to south). Please note that we do not currently serve Junction City.

Ownership: You must own, occupy, and plan to stay in the home. If you’re in a mobile home park or otherwise pay space rent/land lease, you will need approval and cooperation form your park, HOA, or agency.

Good Standing: You must be current on property taxes, homeowner’s insurance premiums, and mortgage payments (if applicable). If the home is paid off, you’ll need to provide documentation. Showing an approved property tax deferral is allowed.

Household Income: Must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) as defined by HUD, subject to change. See below for the maximum income allowed for this program (levels shown are gross income – before taxes). These limits are based on household size and larger households should reach out for more information.

How to Apply

Completed applications should be mailed or returned to our office at: 1210 Oak Patch Rd, Eugene, OR 97402. Please call our office at (541)741-1707 to make an appointment to drop off your application in-person. Applications may also be faxed to (541)741-6743.

Note: We do not accept applications by email.

Step 2: Review & Site Assessment: Habitat reviews your completed application (takes 2–4 weeks) and schedules an on-site evaluation to check project feasibility.

Step 3: Partnership Agreement: If approved, you and Habitat sign an agreement outlining the scope of work.

Step 4: Installation: Installation is scheduled based on funding, weather conditions, and the construction schedule.

Step 5: Sign-Off: Once completed, a Certificate of Completion is signed.

Please Note: All submitted personal and financial information will be kept strictly confidential.

More About the Program

This program is designed for people who plan to stay in their homes. However, we know that circumstances change. So, if you’re no longer in need of a ramp, Habitat can remove it and put it back to use for someone else in the community. This Pay-It-Forward model helps support accessibility and sustainability in our community!

Please remember to notify Habitat for Humanity of Central Lane when you’re planning to move, or if you otherwise need the ramp removed. Your support helps other community members in need of modifications to maintain independence through accessibility. Together, we can build housing stability for people across the community.
